Privacy and security

MakeLifeEasy Product Store is a marketplace project focused on independent sellers in Tamil Nadu. This page explains what information the service uses, why it is needed, and how to contact us with a privacy request.

Information used by the service

• Sign-in: the live store currently uses Google sign-in; MakeLifeEasy does not receive your Google password. Email and password signup is being prepared for a future release and is not available on the live store. If enabled later, we will use your email to manage sign-in and deliver account messages.
• Account and shop details: account type, profile, selected district, seller application, shop name, and seller contact information. Seller profiles and approved listings are public.
• Orders: when order placement is enabled, the service processes the delivery name, phone number, address, items, quantities, price snapshots, and order status to fulfil the order. These records are readable to the marketplace service and the relevant buyer/seller accounts.
• Chat: a chat test is available in Preview only and is not part of the live store. It has not received an independent security review. Do not use the preview chat to share sensitive information.
• Products: sellers may provide product names, descriptions, prices, categories, stock, and image/video URLs. Published listing information is public. Media hosted at an external URL is delivered by that host.
• Service operation: our service providers process basic information about requests and devices to help operate and protect the marketplace.
• Browser preference: the selected light or dark theme is saved in your browser's local storage.

How information is used

Information is used to sign users in, maintain profiles, review sellers, publish listings, fulfil orders, and protect the service from abuse. Google and Cloudflare help us provide the live service. If email/password accounts are enabled in a future release, an email provider will deliver account messages.

Sessions and security

We take care to protect accounts and information. MakeLifeEasy can access account, profile, and order details needed to run the marketplace. The Preview chat is experimental and is not available in the live store.

Public information and sharing

Approved seller profiles and published product listings are visible to visitors. Relevant sellers receive the order information needed to fulfil their orders. Google, Cloudflare, and the configured email provider process information under their own terms and privacy notices. The service does not promise that information is stored only in India; infrastructure providers may process data in other locations. Do not include payment details, government identity numbers, or sensitive personal information in profile, product, or chat fields.

Features not currently available

Online Google Pay processing, seller subscription billing, managed shipping, refund automation, and self-service account deletion are not available in the current live service. Pay-at-delivery options, if shown in a preview, are not online payment processing. Do not treat a chat as a payment receipt or send money based only on a message.

Your requests and contact

For privacy questions, account access/correction/deletion requests, or a complaint, contact [email protected]. Requests are currently handled manually. We will verify the requester before changing or disclosing account information. Some records may need to be retained to operate orders, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or meet applicable obligations. This notice describes current product handling and does not by itself certify compliance with Indian privacy law.
